Another Blow to Peace in the Middle East

According to articles in CNN and Yahoo, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has approved the construction of 455 housing units in the West Bank.

That's a sure way to slow down or derail the peace process, in which Israel doesn't seem to have the slightest interest.

And, by the way, how is it that the Defense Minister is the one approving this?
