51 Ways To Leave Your (Former) Lover
When you've gotta go, you've gotta go, I guess. But you should do it in a reasonably easy way. And certainly in an easier way than Anthony Miller did it.
Miller says he robbed a bank in Ephrata, PA, in 2007, because he wanted to leave his then-wife but she had threatened to commit suicide if he did. According to Robert Beyer, Miller's defense attorney, Miller approached tellers with a BB gun, asked for money and told them to call the police. He said Mr. Miller even asked for updates on their efforts to reach authorities.
Mr. Miller pleaded guilty in June. Lancaster County Judge Louis Farina sentenced him to three to six years in prison yesterday.
Mr. Beyer says the couple divorced within the past year.
